Little Heath School has an excellent record of academic success. In 2005 during our most recent OFSTED Inspection the inspectors stated that ‘students who enter the Sixth Form make very good progress and achieve highly. Standards of attainment at A Level have improved considerably. During the last four years students’ average point score have been well above the national average.’ Our results have continued to show significant improvement since 2000.

All Berkshire schools are evaluated by the Learning and Skills Council, who measure value-added performance from GCSE to A Level. From 2002 to 2008 Little Heath School’s value-added rating from GCSE to A Level has put the school in the top 5% in the country. The Director from the Advanced Level Performance System (ALPS) described our performance as ‘outstanding, placing Little Heath towards the very top nationally in terms of value-added’. He attributed our high value-added rating to our ’top class teaching and our lack of poor teaching were outstanding in national terms’.
In 2005 Nicole Abley (New Teacher of the Year) and Katherine Moseley (Secondary Teacher of the Year) were both regional winners in the regional Teacher Training Awards.
