Chair and Vice Chair of Little Heath

In October Ken Somner was elected as the new Chair of Governors. Ken has been a governor at Little Heath School for ten years, first elected as a parent governor after which he became a foundation governor. Ken will also chair the Leadership & Management Group and is the Health and Safety governor. Juli Morgan-Russell was re-elected as Vice Chair, Juli was previously Head of English at Little Heath School.

The Governing Body is pleased to announce that Dana Cathrew and Matt Parker will join us as Foundation Governors. Their appointments will be ratified at the next full governing board meeting on 25 April 2019.


Notice: 8 March 2018

The Governing Board is pleased to announce that, following the recent election letter, we have a new parent governor, Mrs Sharon Andrews.

Mrs Andrews was the only nomination received and her appointment will be on the agenda to be ratified at the next full governing board meeting on the 27 March.

We would like to welcome Mrs Andrews on to the governing board, and thank the outgoing post-holder, Mr Kevin Price, for his contribution to the governors and school over the last 4 years.

We will have a new Foundation Governor Mrs Sarah East , Headteacher, Springfield Primary School, to begin office in September 2018.

We will have a new Clerk to Governors in post for September 2018 - Mrs Jo Cundy. 


Governor Recruitment:

We are always interested in hearing from anyone in the local community who is interested in Governance. 

Foundation Governor vacancy:  we invite applications from anyone in the local area so this could be a parent, or another family member or someone you know who is interested in supporting the school.  One of the main areas of skill we would particularly welcome is practical financial experience in the business world, but would be interested in hearing from anyone who would like to become a governor.
