Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed the recent half-term break.
At the start of February, we supported Children’s Mental Health Week, reinforcing the importance of wellbeing and resilience among our students. Through dedicated activities and discussions, we continue to encourage our young people to express themselves and seek support when needed.
We also took that week to mark a special milestone—the 20th anniversary of our SMILE team. For two decades, this amazing group of students has played a vital role in supporting and mentoring younger year groups, fostering a culture of kindness, leadership, and peer support. We are immensely proud of the positive impact the SMILE team has had on our school community, and we look forward to many more years of their support.
This term sees the continuation of PPEs for our Year 13 and Year 11 students. These exams are a crucial step in their preparation for the summer. We are motivating them to keep on top of their revision and to stay focused over the next couple of months. We know that putting in the hard work now, will pay off.
Recently, our Year 8 students have been making important decisions about their futures as they explore their GCSE options. This is an exciting time, and our team has been guiding them through the process with taster sessions, discussions, and advice to ensure they make informed choices. As applications go in this week, we will be organising individual Options Meetings next month to review the choices they made.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
