TUTOR WELLBEING SURVEY
Spring Term

Every term, we conduct a Tutor Wellbeing Survey. The results will be looked at by your child's form tutor, and will give us an important insight into how each of our students are feeling as we approach the end of term. The survey is a really helpful process in capturing some students for whom we might need to put in some support before the end of term.

The survey takes place via Microsoft Forms, and we have put the link on Satchel One as a homework task. The survey should take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete.  It is important that every student completes this survey, and we would greatly appreciate your support in ensuring your child does this over the next few days.

Year 11 students will not need to complete this until after their PPEs.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Saturday 8 March

International Women's Day (IWD) has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues still impacting women's advancement. Since 1911, IWD belongs to all who care about women's equality. Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to forge gender parity.

Students took part in an assembly on Friday and tutors had access to further resources and ideas to help students think about their role in accelerating action towards a more equal, equitable and diverse community.

ALL YOURS IWD COMPETITION

Local period poverty charity, All Yours, are celebrating IWD with a picture competition. All you need to do is create a picture or capture a photograph that represents the amazing ways in which women contribute to society. Unleash your creativity and highlight the unique talents women bring to life that we might take for granted.

Find out more, and how to enter, here: All Yours Picture Competition. Closing date: 28 March 2025

YEAR 10 HISTORY TRIP
Oxford Castle and Prison, June

On Monday 16 and Friday 20 June we are running a trip to Oxford Castle and Prison for Year 10 Historians. We will be given a guided tour of the castle and prison, which includes climbing the 101 steps to the top of St. George’s Tower, going down into the 900-year-old Norman crypt, exploring the debtors' tower and 19th Century prison cells.

There will also be a workshop which will give students the opportunity to evaluate evidence of a historical trial. As part of the GCSE Crime and Punishment topic, we have been studying changes to trials and punishments in lessons, so this will provide us with a fantastic opportunity to embed this learning and bring it to life.

We still have a number of places available on this trip, and we would love to see as many students as possible take up the opportunity. To book your place on the trip, complete the consent form below and make the payment of £29 via ParentMail: Y10 History Trip Consent Form
