HISTORY TRIP
Oxford Castle and Prison
Deadline extended!

We have an exciting opportunity for our Year 10 Historians! On Monday 16 and Friday 20 June we are running a trip to Oxford Castle and Prison. We will be given a guided tour of the castle and prison, which includes climbing the 101 steps to the top of St. George’s Tower, going down into the 900 year old Norman crypt, exploring the debtors tower and nineteenth century prison cells.

There will also be a workshop which will give students the opportunity to evaluate evidence of a historical trial. As part of the GCSE Crime and Punishment topic, we have been studying changes to trials and punishments in lessons, so this will provide us with a fantastic opportunity to embed this learning and bring it to life.

There are a number of places available on this trip and the deadline has been extended to TUESDAY 18 MARCH. If your child would like to take part, please refer to the letter sent by email on 12 February from Mr Bond.

If you have any questions, please email sbond@littleheath.org.uk
