IFTAR GATHERING
Deadline for payment – Monday 9 March
We will be hosting a School Iftar Gathering for students during the month of Ramadan. This event aims to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive opportunity for Muslim students to break their fast together in school, while also celebrating the diversity within our community.
Date: Thursday 12 March
Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm (approx.)
Location: Main School Hall
Students who wish to attend will be provided with a light Iftar meal and refreshments. The cost of the event will be £10 per student. Payment should be made via ParentMail by Monday 9 March.

BOOK OF CONDOLENCE
For Former Birch Copse Students
A book of condolence for Mr Micklewhite, Headteacher of Birch Copse, is now available in the Student Wellbeing Office. Students are most welcome to pop in at break or lunch, before or after school, and write something, or they can email Mr Linz or Ms Button, and we will make sure it is included in the book.
GOVERNMENT CONSULTATION
Growing Up in the Online World
The government are currently undertaking a national consultation, looking at further measures to prepare children for the future in an age of rapid technological change. This includes potential age restrictions on social media and other services such as gaming sites and AI chatbots, restrictions on addictive design features and risky functionalities, and better support for parents and families.
They welcome responses from everyone, including children and young people, whose voices are central to this process. A dedicated version of this consultation has been published for children, and a separate version for parents and carers. The consultation closes at 11:59pm on 26 May 2026.

Our Eco-Committee students also sell good quality second-hand uniform at some of our evening events to raise money for eco projects across the school.
