'CELEBRATION OF CULTURES' DAY
Thursday 26 March - Non Uniform Day

On Thursday 26 March we will be holding our annual Celebration of Cultures Day at Little Heath School. This will be a whole school non uniform day and we are inviting students to dress in clothes or colours that represent their culture.

Students who wish to participate in the non uniform day will need to donate £1 to their tutor on, or before, Thursday 26 March. The non uniform money raised will be donated to charity.

Students from the Diversity Society will be running stalls at breaktime, offering prepackaged snacks from different cultures which students may wish to buy. We would encourage students to bring some loose change if they wish to visit the stalls.

More information about the evening event, and our 'Celebration of Cultures' Day, can be found in this letter: Celebration of Cultures at LHS - Letter to parents March 2026

IMMUNISATIONS
Are You Up To Date?

Following the current outbreak of meningitis in parts of the UK, the West Berkshire Immunisation Team wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of protecting yourself through immunisations offered routinely through schools - particularly the offer of tetanus, diphtheria and polio (Td/IPV) and Meningitis ACWY, usually given in Year 9 as part of the secondary school immunisation programme.

These vaccines provide essential protection against serious, potentially life‑threatening infections. School‑based vaccination makes it easy for all young people to access these important vaccines and helps protect the wider community.

If your child has not received these vaccinations, or you are unsure of your child's immunisation history, you can email the team here: NHSimmunisations-westberks@berkshire.nhs.uk
