PARKING ISSUES
Polite Reminder
Please may we remind you to park considerately when dropping off or collecting students on or around Little Heath Road.
The safety of our students is always the top priority. Parking on double yellow lines (especially opposite the school gates), across driveways and side roads/lanes, on the yellow zigzags, or in ways that obstruct visibility creates unnecessary risks for children, pedestrians, and other drivers.
We also ask that you do not turn in the road on Little Heath Road. This causes delays, adds to congestion, and can be hazardous at busy times. It is much safer and smoother for traffic to continue in the same direction and double back where appropriate.
In addition, we want to be mindful of the residents who live along Little Heath Road and the surrounding roads. Blocking access to homes or leaving cars in awkward positions — particularly in Beals Lane — causes frustration and inconvenience for our neighbours.
Where possible, we encourage all our students to walk, cycle, or use public transport to get to school. If driving is your only option, we kindly ask that you follow all parking restrictions and allow extra time to find a safe space a short walk from the school. Even a small adjustment can make a big difference to safety and to maintaining good relationships with the local community.
Please also note that driving onto the school site to drop off or collect is only permitted if you have a pre-arranged agreement with the Pastoral Team.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in keeping our students safe and our school a considerate neighbour.

Just a reminder to ensure you label all school uniform and water bottles. Labelling helps us to quickly reunite items with their owners and reduces the amount of lost property.

CAFFEINE
How much is too much for your teen?
With the news this week that the government is planning a new law in England to stop anyone under the age of 16 buying energy drinks (BBC article here: www.bbc.co.uk/news/energydrinks), The Parents' Guide To have produced a guide to help identify when they are consuming too much. Too much caffeine can result in loss of sleep, loss of energy, low mood and low concentration – the opposite of what’s needed to study and revise well.
