Little Heath School is celebrating another exceptional year of examination results, with students achieving outstanding outcomes across GCSE, A Level and vocational qualifications. The results reflect the dedication, resilience and ambition of students, supported by their families and the school's committed teaching and support staff.

A Level and Vocational Students Secure Bright Futures

Sixth Form students in the Class of 2026 achieved strong outcomes across both academic and vocational pathways. Nearly half of all A Level grades were awarded at A*-B, while three quarters of grades were A*-C. Students studying vocational qualifications also performed exceptionally well, with 100% pass rates and almost two thirds achieving Distinction or Distinction*.

These results have enabled students to progress to a wide range of exciting destinations, including leading universities such as Oxford, University College London, Bristol, Bath, Manchester and the London School of Economics. Others have secured prestigious degree apprenticeships with organisations including EY, Vodafone and ARM, while some have chosen employment or gap year opportunities.

Among the many notable individual achievements were Hashim B, who achieved A*A*A*A* and will study Mathematics with Data Science at the London School of Economics, and Emma B, whose A*A*A grades have secured her a place to study Chemistry at the University of Oxford.

Record GCSE Success

The school's Year 11 students also delivered an impressive set of results, contributing to some of the strongest GCSE outcomes in recent years. Across the school, 58% of all GCSE grades were Grade 5 or above, while 71% were Grade 4 or above. Nearly half of students achieved a Grade 5 or higher in both English and Mathematics, continuing the school's positive upward trend. 

Performance across the curriculum remained consistently strong, with particularly impressive proportions of top grades achieved in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, German, Music, Business Studies and Geography. Overall, 22% of all GCSE grades were awarded at Grade 7 or above. 

Students achieving exceptional individual results included Micah W, who secured eight Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and one Grade 7, and Sofia I, who achieved eight Grade 9s and two Grade 8s. Many students also made significant progress beyond their target grades, reflecting the determination shown throughout their studies.

A Whole-School Effort

Headteacher David Ramsden praised the achievements of students across both year groups, highlighting their commitment, resilience and positive attitude towards learning. He also recognised the invaluable support provided by families and the outstanding dedication of staff in helping students realise their potential. 

As many GCSE students prepare to join the school's thriving Sixth Form and Year 13 students move on to universities, apprenticeships and employment, Little Heath School is proud to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026 and wishes every student continued success in the next stage of their journey.
