The Little Heath School Foundation is a charity and was established by a Charitable Trust Deed dated 30 May 2003.
The charity is governed by a Board of Trustees (the Governors of the School) and its objects are
“To advance the education of children in particular by the provision and maintenance of the School being a voluntary aided secondary school and also by the provision of resources, equipment, teaching and facilities for education in addition to those provided out of public funds”
The principle activities of the Foundation are:
- Fund raising through voluntary donations from parents and friends
- Fund raising through targeted fund-raising events organised by pupils and staff
- The holding of certain government grants intended for the further development of the premises and infrastructure of the school and making these available to the School as and when required.
The LHS Foundation was able to fund the acquisition of a new 16 seat mini-bus and has supported a number of projects in school over the years. The internal fit out of the new Sixth Form Centre was largely funded by the Foundation. The new building is a fantastic and much needed facility for the school and its completion would not have been financially possible if it was not for the support provided by the Foundation.
How you can contribute to the Foundation?
We would encourage all parents and carers to help continue the work of the Foundation by making an annual voluntary donation per family. For a number of years a donation of £15 has been suggested, but the school appreciates that families are not all in the same financial position and therefore their ability to make a contribution will vary. Thanks to everyone who donated to our November 2023 collection, we raised £496 for the School Development Fund and saved 992kg from landfill.
Around twice a year, we ask for contributions of clothing for our Bag2School collection.
We accept the following ‘good quality’ items for
- Men’s, Ladies’ and Children’s clothing
- Paired shoes (tied together or elastic band around)
- Scarves and ties
- Soft toys
- Household linen
- Household curtains
- Household towels
- Household bedding (bed sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers)

Tickets are just £1 a week and 76% of the ticket costs goes back to the School and into the prize fund. There is a guaranteed prize of around £15 each week, and a chance to win the £25,000 jackpot!
