Battlefields Trip

Year 10 History Battlefields trip

Earlier this month, Year 10 students went on the History Battlefields trip to France and Belgium. It was a memorable and moving trip for them all, as they took in war memorials, the allied trenches and the Menin Gate, to name a few.

Here are some of the comments made by the students:
“It was overwhelming, the scale is unimaginable and we must never forget the men who died”

“To be able to honour each and everyone who took part in the Great War regardless of ethnicity or religion is something anyone could be envious to do.”

“A meaningful, memorable and moving experience”

“Unforgettable, shocking and it makes you realise how lucky we are today”

On the journey back to Little Heath, we asked the students to think of one word to describe their experience of the whole trip which were then added to the word cloud below.
