Cisco Work Experience – Technology Careers – Y12 & Y13

We’re pleased to let you know that applications for Cisco’s October Pathways Work Experience Programme are open and close on September 14th! We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with any students who may be interested and eligible – please see the following details below.

The programme is open to students who identify as female or non-binary, are currently in Year 12 or Year 13, and are based in the UK.  The work experience will take place from Monday 26 to Thursday 29 October 2026, with students able to choose between a hybrid or fully virtual experience.

The hybrid programme includes two days in person at either our Bedfont Lakes office in West London or DiSH in Manchester, alongside two days of virtual sessions. Students choosing this option will need to be able to travel to their selected location.

Across the four days, students will have the opportunity to explore different departments and careers at Cisco, take part in a group business challenge and develop valuable employability skills, including interviewing and CV writing. They will also hear directly from our apprentices, interns and graduates and learn more about the different pathways into a career in technology.

For students taking part virtually, access to a device with a working camera is essential. A laptop is preferable, although a tablet or phone can also be used.  Applications close at 10am on Monday 14 September 2026.

Pathways to Medicine is a two-year widening participation programme for young people aged 16-18 interested in studying medicine.

The programme recruits year 12 students at the beginning of their A-level (or equivalent) courses and provides ongoing support into year 13.

This programme is for highly motivated state-school students who demonstrate a keen interest in pursuing a career in medicine.

Pathways to Property is a charitable programme run by Henley Business School that’s designed to raise awareness about the vast range of careers available within the Real Estate industry. Our free half-day workshops are designed for young people who are eligible for free school meals or have received a bursary within the last two years. Schools are required to invite 30 young people to visit the EY offices for a two-hour workshop that provides insights into the world of work. During these sessions, students will hear inspiring career stories from various professionals, participate in a team challenge, and enhance their presentation skills.

The workshops will:

• Introduce students to transferable employability skills
• Build awareness of different careers, job options, and soft skills
• Allow young people to network with EY professionals 
• Provide insights into what employers are looking for

Two and a half day residential programme for Y11 & Y12 students interested in this career path

The programme will include visits to both the pre-clinical and clinical departments to give a taste of the course, insight into life at a Cambridge college, and a chance to meet staff and current students. Places will be limited to 58 on first-come-first-served basis, and it would be sensible to encourage only likely A/A*-grade candidates to attend. Please note that Chemistry A level (or equivalent) is mandatory, and we strongly recommend two other science subjects, normally Biology, Physics or Maths.
